Welcome to Lexington Elementary
As a Pk-2nd grade center in the Monroe City School District, we currently service approximately 575 students from the Monroe Community. Our pupil teacher ratio averages twenty to one. We develop the young minds through music, physical education, library, computer lab, art and talented art for our students. We also have after-school options with community partners such as YMCA, St. Paul's After-School Program, and Little Mudita Yoga.
Lexington Elementary takes pride in being a positive educational experience for our students. We incorporate many school-wide themes that coincide with our Accelerated Reader Program, such as Read the Most from Coast to Coast, Read for the Cure, Trick or Read, Lucky Readers Read-a thon, and Hats Off for Reading.
Please feel free to call the school to set up a time to tour our campus. We would love for you to take part in the exciting adventures Lexington Elementary has in store for the 2015-2016 school year. Working together, we will continue to create a spark in the children of our community that makes memories they will never forget about being a LEXINGTON TIGER!
